How to Make Strawberry Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
This ice cream is a simple way to create something very tasty. Ingredients — Let’s Get Started
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons canned pineapple rings or chunks, plus 1/3 cup juice (from a can) — not syrupy sweet but more tart Juice of one lemon Zest from half the lemon 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- dash of pure vanilla extract
- Seeds of 1 split and scraped vanilla bean
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- Place the strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice in a medium bowl Allow that to sit for 30 minutes until we have a pool of strawberries juices.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the heavy cream with same quantity of whole milk, left over sugar-vanilla extract and salt.
- Add the vanilla seeds from half of a split bean, strawberries and their juices to sauce pan.
- Add the mixture to an ice cream maker, and churn according to the manufacturers instructions.
- Put the ice cream in an airtight container, cover and freeze it until It hardens up; which is about 4-6 hours.

Serving this ice cream is easy! Scoop it into bowls or cones. You can add fresh strawberries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce on top for extra fun. It’s sure to be a hit!
