Snowball Cookies are a classic treat that ALL of us enjoy. With chopped pecans stirred in and coated with a dusting of powdered sugar, these classic Christmas treats sorta-kinda look like tiny snowballs! These are easy to make and they work for any occasion.

How to Make Snowball Cookies

Ingredients:

  • Unsalted Butter, softened- 1 cup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Directions:

  1. We will start by preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. With a beater cream butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar in one large bowl until the mixture is fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. BARELY stir all flour and salt into the egg mixture until mixed
  5. Gently stir in the chopped pecans.
  6. Using your hands, form small balls of dough and place on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to slightly cool and still warm roll them in more powdered sugar.
  9. Cool completely roll in powdered sugar once more to make it sweeter.

How to Serve Snowball Cookies

Snowball Cookies — Arrange Snowball Cookies on a festive plate alongside a cup of tea or coffee. They are perfect to put on a plate at any dessert table, especially if it is the holiday season or you have some sort of party. Eat warm, or allow to cool.
