How to Make M&M Cookies


These cookies are super easy to make! Simply follow these easy steps and you will have deliciously chewy cookies in no time.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup unsalted butter( at barely softened)

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M's, (plus more for tops if desired)

Directions

 

  • Prep: Heat oven to 375°F and line two baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper.
  • C R E A M — B U T T E R & S U G AR: In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment, add 1 cup softened butter (soft so that you can press your finger into it and feel flesh), 1 cup +3/4-cup light brown sugar+ granulated sugar; mix on medium for about one minute. Now, mix in 2 eggs and 2t vanilla extract, until everything is well combined.
  • Stir in dry ingredients and chill dough: Stir 3 cups flour, baking powder, .5 tsp salt until just combined. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup M&M's. Refrigerate the dough 15-60 minutes (or up to 24 hours, if time allows).
  • Then…scoop cookie dough onto baking sheets using a large cookie scoop (the type that holds about 3 tablespoons), with each ball of dough being separated by approximately 2 inches. You can put some extra M&M's on top if you want to!
  • Bake — Bake 7-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for 2 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack. Place them in an airtight container for a maximum of 3 days.
