  • 1/2 Onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 sugar-free jar marinara
  • 2 C shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 Cup grated parmesan
  • 30 slices pepperoni
  • 1/4 Cup sliced black olives**(optional)

Directions:

 

  1. Saute your onions and green peppers over a med heat in avocado oil for 5 minutes until they are starting to be translucent.
  2. Then add sausage and ground beef, breaking up as you cook until brown. Salt and black pepper to taste
  3. Once Seared, Remove The Meat And Drain Off Any Fat.
  4. Pour in the marinara and try to spread this around by squashing down (with a spatula!)
  5. Add both cheeses on top and then a nice thick layer of pepperoni.
  6. If desired, sprinkle the olives slices on top.
  7. Broil the top of it in a high setting oven.
  8. Serve and enjoy! This recipe makes 8 servings.
