Hawaiian Meatball Bowl with Pineapple & Creamy Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
- Pineapple (Fresh) 1/2, peeled and cored chunks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup cooked rice
- Sliced green onions, for garnishing
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Directions
- Form your Meatballs To a large bowl, add ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion/parsley/garlic/egg mix that you prepared earlier (but use only half of it), salt and pepper to the bowl along with oregano & basil. Use a small cookie scoop to divide the mixture and roll it into 1 inch balls.
- Method 2: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the meatballs. Brown the meat balls, turning occasionally. After cooking, strain out any extra grease.
- Grill Pineapple: In the same skillet, grill pineapple chunks 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly charred and softened.
- Creamy Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise and sour cream with parsley, lemon juice, garlic (minced), salt & pepper.
- How to Make the BowlsIn serving bowl, place cooked rice. Now top it with meatballs, grilled pineapple and drizzling of creamy sauce. Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
