How to Make Grilled Beef


Ingredients:

  • 2 lb (900 g) flank steak or skirt steak
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Corn tortillas, for serving

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice — both zest and the juice—minced garlic cumin chili powder smoked paprika salt + pepper.
  2. Place flank or skirt steak in the marinade and refrigerate for 2 hours, or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over high heat.
  4. Use your desired method (mine is just my hand… shhh) to remove the steak from marinade and throw out leftover marinde.
  5. Grill the steak on each side for 5-7 minutes or until desired doneness.
  6. Allow the steak to rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly across the grain.
  7. Serve with warm corn tortillas and top with fresh cilantro.
