How to Make German Chocolate Cake
This is an easy peasy cake to make! Just these easy steps and you are all set to impress everyone with your baking.
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Colemnan Cocoa Unsweetened Powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- Ingredients:1 cup butter, unsalted and softened
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
- 350°F (175°C) warmed the oven Prepare two 9-inch round pans with grease and flour.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, soda and salt in a medium bowl. And add cocoa.Make sure to whisk everything.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter with granulated and brown sugar till pale and fluffy
- Stir in eggs, one at a time as well until combined. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Poor in the buttermilk and dry ingredients a little at a time. Alternating mix well for each.
- Place an equal amount of batter in each cake pan.
- Cook for 30-35 moments or till a toothpick is inserted in the center and comes out clean .
- Cool cakes in pans on a rack for 10 minutes, and then transfer them from the racks to finish cooling completely.
- For the frosting, mix the coconut and pecans into your favorite chocolate frosting recipe or make a pecan frosting.
- To assemble the cake, place one layer on a serving platter prevent icing and top with second layer. The cake can now be frosted on the top and sides to complete.
