Dulce De Leche Tiramisu Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6 egg yolks
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- GLAZED PORK TENDERLOIN with HERBED CRUMB TOPPING Recipe Note: There are several ways to make an herb rub/marinade stay on pork tenderloin when cooking.
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons dulce de leche (I buy canned in the Mainstream)
- A pinch of salt to taste
- 2(4.4-ounce) boxes of soft ladyfingers (St Michel taste best — they have a crunchy sugar topping )
- strong brewed coffe or espresso - 2 cups (decaf is ok, but it needs to be rich and dark!)
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- Shaving a topping; chocolate bar
Directions:
- Whisk some of the hot cream sauce into the eggs to temper, then add warm egg yolk/cream mixture back to pan., whisking; cook 2 more minutes. It should run off the beaters like liquid. Stir in the mascarpone and beat until smooth with no lumps.
- Meanwhile, in second bowl add the heavy cream and whip on high for about 1-2 minutes until it forms a whipped cream. Add a pinch of salt and mix in the dulce de leche.
- With a spatula, gently combine egg and mascarpone with the whipped cream (Warning: This will be sickly delicious!)
- Take out an 11×7 pan ( any size works, even a 9×13). Place a fine mesh strainer and dust the bottom with cocoa powder to prevent dessert from becoming too liquid.
- Quickly dip the ladyfingers in and out of the espresso, turning once to coat (I do a three-flip count per finger). Don't let them soak too long or they will fall apart! Place the ladyfingers on bottom of pan.
- Spoon half of the creamy mixture over the ladyfingers followed by another layer of ladyfingers. Mound with remaining creamy mix. Dust with cocoa powder or chocolate shavings before finalizing.
- Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate. Refrigerate for 4+ hours, but preferably let it set for 12-24hours!
- Cut & Serve straight from the fridge when ready. Sprinkle of extra cocoa powder|| sprinkling or grating of dark chocolate Enjoy!

How to make Dulce De Leche Tiramisu
- Mascarpone is preferred here as it makes the mixture creamier.
- Be sure to dip the ladyfingers super fast – dont want them soaking wet!
- And last, but definitely not least: You can make it the day prior to your event if you are short on time.
Variation
Add a shot of rum or coffee liqueur to the espresso, if desired. You can also pair it with sliced bananas or berries for a little more flavor and some color too!
