How to Make Chicken Cutlet

Here’s how to make your own Chicken Cutlets at home:

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • Worchester Shire sauce, 1 tbsp
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Directions

  1. Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Coat the chicken with flour, then shake off any excess.
  3. Coat in the beaten eggs, place on a hoagie and cover with panko breadcrumbs uniformly pressing to make sure they adhere.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Heat the oil, and fry chicken on both sides till golden brown (aprox 5 minutes a side). You could bake them at 400°F for 20-25 minutes or use an air fryer set to around 375ºF for approximately 15-20 minutes.
  6. Katsu Sauce 1/2 cup ketchup (or more)Worcestershire sauce soy saucesugarDijon mustardgarlic powdergrated gingerMix all ingredients in a bowl.
  7. Slice the Chicken Cutlets after they have been cooked and serve with katsu sauce for dipping.
