Chewy Oatmeal Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of soft unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 cups rolled oats
Directions:
- Heat the oven on 175 C (350 F).
- In a large bowl, cream the butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar.
- Mix in eggs, one at a time; add 1 tsp. vanilla
- In bowl, blend together flour, baking soda and salt with cinnamon.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the rolled oats.
- Spoon dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are slightly golden.
- Allow cookies to sit on the baking sheets for a couple of minutes before transferring them to wire racks and let cool completely.
