How to Make Angel Food Cake


Angel Food Cake is easy and enjoyable to make! It is very simple to prepare and you can have a great cake in no time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cake flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 12 large egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Directions:

  1. Very 1st preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C)
  2. With sifter, sift cake flour and 3/4 cup sugar into bowl.
  3. Whisk egg whites until foamy in a clean mixing bowl.
  4. Stir in the salt and cream of tartar then beat until it forms soft peaks.
  5. Continuing to beat, pour in the remaining sugar and whisk until stiff peaks.
  6. Slowly mix in the flour mixture, vanilla sugar and almond extract until it comes together.
  7. Add the batter to a ungreased Angel Food Cake Pan .
  8. Place in a preheated 350 degree oven and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes until the cake springs back under your touch.
  9. Turn the pan upside down and let cool completely then remove from cake.
  10. They are ready to serve with your toppings of choice. Enjoy!
