Chocolate Chip Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup softened unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Directions :

  1. The oven should be preheated to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In large bowl cream the softened butter with powdered sugar.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the flour and salt, stirring all together until a dough has formed.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Form dough into small balls and put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
  7. Slightly flatten each ball with your palm.
  8. Pop in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden round edges
  9. Let cool before serving.
