Fried Chicken Tacos Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (8 pieces) packet breaded chicken tenders, cooked to package instructions ||||
  • 2 cups red cabbage (shredded)
  • 8 flour tortillas (4-inch)
  • Salsa (for topping, optional)
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Directions:

  1. Prepare chicken tenders as described on package. After cooking take out and cut into half length wise.
  2. Either warm in a dry skillet over medium heat for ~30 seconds per side (or use your microwave if you are rushed- like me)
  3. To prepare your tacos, divide the shredded red cabbage among each tortilla.
  4. Put one of two pieces of chicken over the cabbage.
  5. Sprinkle chicken and cabbage with salsa, if desired.
  6. Prepare lime crema by whisking together sour cream, buttermilk, lime juice, cilantro and kosher salt. Put a generous spoonful over the salsa.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro. Some nice delectable tacos are ready to be served!
