Marry Me Chicken Lasagna Recipe


Ingredients:

 

  • 9 no boil lasagna noodles cooked according to package instructions
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 1½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of fresh cracked black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups chopped fresh spinach
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cups skim ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 cups shredded cooked chicken breast
  • 8 slices cooked bacon, crispy and crumbled
  • 3 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Crumbled fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley leaves, for garnish if desired


Directions:

 

  1. Prepare the Lasagna: In a medium bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese with garlic powder.
  2. The sauce will be spread at the base of your pan, approximately 1 cup worth. Then layer on 3 lasagne noodles.
  3. Layer ⅓ of the ricotta mixture on top.
  4. Mix any leftover sauce with chicken, bacon and pour ⅓ of this in an even layer over the top. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top. Top with ⅓ of the provolone cheese as well
  5. Repeat layers two more times, beginning with lasagna noodles and ending with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Then, cover in foil and bake for 40-50 minutes until the sauce is bubbling.
  7. Uncover and bake for a few more minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
